SO SO SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW <3 lololol
thanks! and yeah i follow you on instagram. :)
Think of it this way…
If you believe that all deities are simply faces of a single Divine “general God” and “General Goddess”… Then you’re not really working with a specific dedicated identity of the Goddess portion of the Divine… She’s simply a specific aspect or face of her that you’ve chosen to work with for an unknown length of time…
To go further, if you believe that both the general Goddess and general God aren’t actually two separate Divines, but are instead two halves of one single Divine? Then in essence you are still working with both the general God and general Goddess- aka with the single Divine- even when choosing to work with a specific face of it with female gender.
And how unbalanced is it really, when you work with a single face of the Goddess, but still work with the generalized God? Is it truthfully all that unbalanced in the end? Do you really feel as if that balance is pertinent to your practice? Maybe choosing to work with a single face or part of the general Goddess may lead you to discovering the aspect of the generalized God?
I say start with the research and test the waters. Theoi is a great place to start for information on Hecate. Start there, and see where it takes you. If you still feel like you need the balance, etc, then back off until you can find a way to balance it that feels right or comfortable for you.
